Is anyone else blown away that it's now the year 2018?!? If you had asked me 20 years ago what I would be doing in 2018, I would have certainly included a flying car or at least a hover-board in my answer. Despite the fact that some childhood hopes for a few scientific achievements were not met, 2017 was really exciting for us here at The Core. Namely, it was a year for growth, which was expressed in 3 specific ways: new extended family members, new team members, and a new office.
- New Extended Family - As an extrovert, I love meeting new people, and we had the pleasure of meeting a lot of new people last year; many of whom ended up partnering with us. We've added 20% more accounts to The Core family than we did in 2016! We realized early on that we would need extra shoulders to help bear this additional load well. So...
- New Team Member - Last year we brought on a new team member to help facilitate service for our aforementioned growing extended family. Many of you already know and love Chris Butler because he has been invaluable to our efforts in providing you with the best IT experience possible. While adding an extra desk helped us stay on top of our service game, it magnified an already known issue ... space was dwindling.
- New Office - Chris joining the team put us at maximum capacity in our previous office. We immediately prioritized getting into space we had been pursuing for some time, and in August we moved in! In our new space, that I'm sure you all have seen on our social media accounts, we finally have some elbow room, as well as some room for growth. That's right. We're not quite done with that!
Hopefully, we'll have similar growth patterns as last year, and, with some effective planning and execution, we plan to exceed them. In anticipation of that, we have already made one new hire for 2018. We'll happily introduce him to you guys in the weeks to come, but rest assured, he's a Core guy, so we know you'll love him.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make 2017 such an exciting year for us and look forward to working with all of you to make 2018 an even better year.
